Shelter of Arts\uff5c\u5cf6\u5dbc\u64c1\u62b1<\/strong> \u662f\u4e00\u9805\u95dc\u6ce8\u85dd\u8853\u5bb6\u3001\u6587\u5316\u5de5\u4f5c\u8005\u8207\u6587\u5316\u7a7a\u9593\u5982\u4f55\u56de\u61c9\u4e0d\u78ba\u5b9a\u3001\u6d41\u96e2\u3001\u653f\u6cbb\u58d3\u529b\u8207\u5371\u6a5f\u7684\u7814\u7a76\u8207\u6587\u5316\u884c\u52d5\u8a08\u756b\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    About the Project<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Shelter of Arts | Island Embrace<\/strong> is a research and cultural initiative exploring how artists, cultural workers, and cultural spaces respond to uncertainty, displacement, political pressure, and crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Through field research, conversations, writing, public programmes, and resource mapping, the project traces how care, mobility, sheltering, and creative continuity are sustained across Taiwan and Asia. It looks beyond shelter as a physical place, asking how relationships, cultural spaces, and transnational networks can become forms of support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Rather than building a new centre, Island Embrace<\/em> imagines a constellation of connected places: islands that can receive, support, refer, and accompany one another when movement becomes difficult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Islands that hold, paths that continue.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Planned Activities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Shelter of Arts | Island Embrace<\/strong> brings together research, exchange, and public engagement to explore how artistic sheltering, mobility, and cultural support can be strengthened across Taiwan and Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The project will include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Field research and case visits<\/strong>: visiting artist residencies, cultural organisations, sheltering initiatives, and regional networks to understand how different places respond to war, displacement, political pressure, and crisis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Interviews with artists and cultural workers<\/strong>: documenting experiences of displacement, mobility, and rebuilding creative life, while also looking at the roles played by curators, cultural spaces, and support organisations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Public talks and conversations<\/strong>: inviting artists, researchers, and cultural organisations from Asia and beyond to exchange practical experiences around sheltering, cultural mobility, care, and creative continuity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Resource mapping across Taiwan and Asia<\/strong>: identifying cultural spaces, artist residencies, legal and migration information, funding opportunities, professional networks, and possible referral pathways.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Research writing and case-based articles<\/strong>: publishing field observations, case studies, and cultural essays on artistic sheltering, cultural infrastructure, displacement aesthetics, and cultural resilience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Online platform and knowledge sharing<\/strong>: using the website to gather articles, cases, events, and resources so that dispersed knowledge can remain visible, accessible, and continuously updated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
